National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi during an official visit to advance the India–UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The talks focused on energy security, the evolving situation in West Asia and broader bilateral cooperation, with both sides reviewing recent geopolitical developments affecting the region.
Doval conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Indian Embassy in the UAE said the discussions examined measures to deepen strategic ties and covered the regional situation and other mutual interests. The UAE state news agency WAM reported that both leaders exchanged greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations and wished each other progress.
Energy stability and the implications of West Asia developments for regional and global security were key themes. Senior Emirati officials who attended included Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary‑General of the Supreme Council for National Security.
This engagement was the second high-level interaction between India and the UAE within a month; earlier, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met the UAE President during a two-nation visit, highlighting continued momentum in ties despite a complex regional environment.
