On May 21, 2026, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor to discuss strengthening the India–US Economic and Financial Partnership. The finance ministry said the dialogue focused on fintech collaboration, investment opportunities and wider bilateral economic and financial cooperation.
