Corrections Policy
How to report an error and how NewsPluck corrects its reporting.
NewsPluck is committed to accuracy. When we make a mistake, we acknowledge it and put it right as quickly as we can.
How to request a correction
If you believe we have published something inaccurate, email [email protected] with "Correction" in the subject line. Please include a link to the article, the statement you believe is wrong and, where possible, evidence supporting the correct information.
How we review requests
Every request is reviewed by a member of our editorial team, who will check the original reporting and sources. We aim to respond within three working days, and sooner where an error is significant or could cause harm.
How corrections are made
Factual errors are corrected in the article itself. Where a correction changes the meaning of a story or a material fact within it, we add a note at the end of the article explaining what was changed and when. Minor errors that do not affect meaning, such as spelling or formatting, may be fixed without a note.
Clarifications
Where an article is accurate but could be misunderstood, or has omitted context that matters, we may add a clarification to make our reporting clearer.
Updates to developing stories
News stories may be updated as events develop and new information emerges. Updates of this kind are part of normal reporting and are not treated as corrections, though significant changes will be indicated in the article.
Removal of content
We do not remove published articles simply because their subject would prefer they were not online. We will consider removal or amendment where content is shown to be inaccurate, unlawful, or where there is a compelling reason to do so, such as a risk to someone's safety.
