Sonakshi Sinha Claps Back at Trolls Questioning Zaheer Iqbal’s Absence During Holi
Sonakshi Sinha claps back at trolls asking why Zaheer Iqbal wasn’t with her during Holi, explaining he was in Mumbai while she was on a film shoot.

Sonakshi Sinha had a blast celebrating Holi this year, sharing colorful pictures on Instagram. But instead of enjoying the festive spirit, some people were more focused on why her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, wasn’t in the photos. When unnecessary speculation started flooding the comments, Sonakshi responded in her signature style—calm but firm—putting an end to the gossip.
Why Was Zaheer Missing? Trolls Demand Answers
Dressed in a white outfit, smeared with bright gulaal, Sonakshi looked radiant in her Holi pictures, which she shared with the caption:
"Holi haiiiiiiii!!! Rang barsao, khushiyaan manao!! Happy Holi mere doston, from the shoot of Jatadhara."
However, instead of just sending Holi wishes, many users flooded her comments with questions like, "Why isn’t Zaheer celebrating with you?" and "It’s your first Holi after marriage, shouldn’t you both be together?" Some even made unnecessary religious remarks, urging her to observe Ramzan instead.
Sonakshi’s No-Nonsense Response
Rather than letting the trolls stir unnecessary drama, Sonakshi decided to shut them down. She edited her caption to clarify the situation, writing:
"Comments mein thoda relax karo… @iamzahero Mumbai mein hai, aur main shoot pe hu, isiliye saath nahi hain… thanda paani dalo sar pe."
(Translation: Relax a little in the comments. Zaheer is in Mumbai, and I’m away on a shoot. Pour some cold water on your head.)
Zaheer, keeping it lighthearted, also dropped a sweet comment: "Missing youuuuu baby." That was enough to silence the speculation.
A Love Story That Began at a Bollywood Party
Sonakshi and Zaheer’s love story began long before they made it official. The two met at a party hosted by Salman Khan and hit it off instantly. After dating for nearly seven years, they tied the knot in a private ceremony at their Mumbai home on June 23, 2023. Later, they hosted a grand reception attended by Bollywood celebrities like Rekha, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Anil Kapoor, and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Zaheer, who made his Bollywood debut in Notebook (2019), worked alongside Sonakshi in Double XL (2022) and featured with her in the hit music video Blockbuster.
Sonakshi is currently shooting for Jatadhara, her debut Telugu film, while Zaheer was last seen in Ruslaan (2024). Despite social media trolls trying to create unnecessary controversy, the couple remains unbothered and focused on their respective careers.
At the end of the day, Sonakshi has once again proven that she doesn’t entertain negativity—she speaks her mind, clears the air, and moves on with her life, leaving trolls in the dust.
